This is Solen doing his "crazy" face. His uncle Sonar encouraged him to look like this and now he will do it on command.

Talan is now bilingual. He is able to answer questions I ask him paa Norsk. He knows how to answer what his name is and how old he is. Pretty impressive for our 2-year-old Evel Knieval.

Talan is already becoming a womanizer, he is after the older women. He always asks if one of our friend's daughter (12-year-old) can come over and check out his new bed spread. We're hoping Abby will wait till she is 30 to get married so she can marry Tal after his mission. To bad we don't live in India!



This is Madd's on Easter morning, looking as cute as can be. She was visited by the Easter Bunny during the night, he left her a bubble wand, tons of candy, and a whole host of other goodies to share during sacrament.

Maddy has been enjoying her bike a lot more lately since she has someone to go with. Last week so rode to her friend Paris' house (about .25 miles away) with her Dad. On the way she said, "Dad, this is so fun...I never want to do it again."

Madds has become a champion sleeper, she is sharing a room with her bro Tal. She occasionally wakes up and decides that she has to tell her Mom a "secret." It is cute and frustrating at the same time.

Well I have been tagged again...but this time I was asked to write about my hubby. And I just realized I don't have any recent pictures of him, so that will be my goal this week, and maybe I'll have another post about him soon.

What is his name? Spencer Troy Beck


How long have you been married? 9 years in August..holy cow, time flies!


How long did you date? About 4 years, that is counting the time he was on his mission. Writing letters was way more personal than dating I think.


How old is he? 29 for only a few more weeks.

Who eats more? That depends on what we are eating. I probably eat more when I am prego. I think I just eat more often.

Who said I love you first? He did. It was cute, but I was too scared to say it back. I did eventually, obviously.

Who sings better? He does. All of our Rockband friend will agree.


Who is smarter? I think that is obvious.


Who does the laundry and dishes? That would be me.


Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do. But I have to sleep on whatever side is closest to the door, so I can get to my children fast if I need to.

Who pays the bills? I do.

Who mows the lawn? I usually do, but I prefer to. I love the smell of fresh cut grass.

Who cooks dinner? I do. But he does make amazing quesadilla burgers!

Who drives when you are together? We switch off. Neither of us like to drive. Except on long trips, he likes to drive so he doesn' t have to deal with the kiddies.


Who is more stubborn? I just asked him who he thought was more stubborn and he gave me the look that it was obviously me. I don't know why.

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Well, Spencer hasn't ever been wrong about anything in his life. Ask him, he'll tell you.


Whose parents do you see the most? It is pretty equal.


Who has more friends? We hang out with couples mostly, so it's pretty equal.


Who proposed? Spencer


Who has more siblings? Kim's answer on this was 18 siblings, but that is crazy Kim, we only have 17. Spencer has 3, so I win.

Who wears the pants in the family? I would say he does. I think he wishes that I would more often.

Maddy's field trip to the candy company!

Maddy got to go on a field trip to Cerreta's Candy Company. She had so much fun. There was a huge football made of chocolate that was I think 13 feet tall that they gave as a prize at the Super Bowl. The person who won it chose to have 30 1 lb chocolate bars instead. I think they made a good choice.
We watched how all the yummy chocolates and caramels were made. And then she got to make a chocolate pizza. It was super yummy.
I was in caramel heaven! They had so many different kinds and I went crazy. They had my favorite licorice caramels and so many other good ones. The top picture is of her cousin Nash, Maddy and her friend Paris. They had such a fun day!

Las Vegas Here We Come!!

My Mom and my siblings decided to take a trip to Las Vegas... just the six of us. I was a little worried about the trip, but I was pleasantly suprised at how much fun I had. When Kim and I first arrived Zac was sleeping, so I thought that was just a preview of what Zac was going to be like the whole trip. But he wasn't....I think he actually really enjoyed himself. We stayed at the Flamingo hotel, (thanks to Kim's awesome friend) which was amazing. We went to a magic show, a fun game show, ate some great food and did lots of shopping. I even got two of my siblings to play craps with me (I won't say which two)! It was a great weekend!!

Madalyn's first haircut!

Maddy has wanted her hair to be short like her friends Brooklyn and Paris so I finally gave in. Her dad was a little sad, because he loved her long hair, but we all think she looks so cute!
