A St.George Christmas

It was so good to get back to Utah for Christmas. We were in much need of family, friends, and all my favorite places to eat in SG! Here is Talan with all his Batman loot.
Oh the joy...
Lot's of Hello Kitty goodness. Why do I always end up with gumballs every Christmas. Gum in the hair, carpet, car... it's inevitable.

Enjoying PF and Kelly's Belly.
Grandpa, Grandma and Uncle Clinty
Sunny & Kelly
Spencer's stache
Best little buddies...
Maddy, Kass and Tallyho
I think Ryan was on the scooter the majority of our trip.
Quincy and Maddy with their silly hair do's!

Maybe next year we'll be there...

A visit with Ol' Saint Nick

I think this was the first year Maddy willingly sat on Santa's lap. She was determined to see Rudolph so her plan was to ask Santa, but at the last minute Zhu Zhu pets came out of her mouth. Maybe next year.
Talan was in deep conversation with the big guy. He wasn't messing around, this was purely business. He asked for a Wow Wee Robot... and Santa delivered.

We thought Ryan would be cool with Santa if he had a sucker... not this year.

For a moment I had a dog....

This morning when I was taking Maddy to school we saw a dog on the side of the freeway. We moved to the other lane and drove on by, hoping it wouldn't get hit by the next oncoming car. So, I dropped off Maddy then I took Talan to preschool. Ryan and I got home 40 minutes later and there was the dog across the street! This poor dog was starving as you can see by his ribs poking out. So I lured him into the backyard with some water and cat food and then I called animal control.

I put Ryan in the house and started playing frisbee and catch with him. It was amazing how much happier he was. After I decided that this dog wasn't dangerous I let Ry come out and play. He fed the dog some granola bars and then we found some hot dogs. He reminded me of Ralphie from the Christmas story, when his mom said "show me how a piggy eats." So I named him Ralphie.

I kind of forgot about animal control until I heard a knock on the door. And now he is gone..... and we are sad. He was such a fun dog, I'm sad the rest of the fam didn't get to meet him.

Bye Ralphie.

Our sweet little RyRy!

I was making lunch the other day and I looked over at Ryan sitting at the counter looking so cute and little so I grabbed my camera to get a pic and he started posing for me! It was hilarious! Every time the camera would flash he really would do a different pose!

What a cutie!

Pike's Peak

Sunny & Kelly came out to visit us so we decided to drive up to Pike's Peak since none of us have ever been there. It was amazing! I am so in love with fall colors.... I wish it could look like this all year. Before you start driving up to the top of the peak you can stop at the "North Pole". It is a little amusement park that is completely Christmas. My kids were in heaven!
We should have realized it was going to be cold.

Then we stopped at this lake. So incredibly beautiful! (Maybe I lived in Phoenix too long). You can't see all the leaves changing colors in this pic, but they were.
Of course... it wouldn't be Maddy if she wasn't making a silly face!
Just the girls at the top of Pike's Peak!
We got out of the car and we were all so freezing that I assumed we weren't going to hike to the top, but Talan took off running, so we all followed. He made it to the top....
and then realized that he couldn't breath! The air was so thin, and his asthma started to kick in. We didn't ever realize he had much of a problem with asthma until today. He started coughing and trying to take deep breaths but he wasn't doing very well, so Spence rushed him back down to the car so he could recover.
Here is Kelly's cute little belly. I love this pic of her!
And Spence at the top of the peak.

Talan turns 4 year's old!

What a great day for our Tally! He started pre-school on his birthday! He loved all the special attention that the whole class gave him.
He looks so handsome, and has sweet spiderman shoes that he opened this morning!
Here is the unveiling of present #1....
A sweet red 4-wheeler! And he lets Maddy ride it as much as she wants!
He wanted pancakes or for breakfast.
and spongebob mac & cheese for dinner.

He got spongebob legos from Grandma & Grandpa Beck
Ryan was LOVING the cake!
It's crazy that it was 113 degrees the day Talan was born. And today was 45 degrees!!! So freezing! But Tal loved it so much. We had the best day! You are such an awesome boy Tally! We love you!
