Talan was telling everyone at Christmas who Peter Parker was. Sunny caught this little nugget on tape. Enjoy.

It was an amazing day!

Spencer should win husband of the year.  He planned the best birthday for me ever!  I love going to breakfast, so when I woke up he took me to Cracker Barrel with the whole Beck fam.  When we arrived Kisten and Kaci happened to be waiting in there, pleasant surprise!  Then the girls took me to fix my pasty whiteness and we did a little spray tan.  As if you couldn't tell!  Then just us girls went on down to Mesquite and did some gambling.  It was really weird being there in the middle of the day.  Only the crazy addicted people gamble during the day... but it was still good.  I made them play Roulette with me for awhile, but they are both slots girls so after a half hour I let them go play their silly little games!  I was quite happy i won $40 and then found out that Kisten had won $150 on Wheel of Fortune!  So you'd think she'd spring for lunch or maybe a coke... nope, nothing!  Ha, Ha!  I still love you Kisten!   Then we took the kids to Jumpin' Jacks.  It was so fun for the kids as well as the adults!
Then Spence surprised me and  got an amazing room in Zion's.  We took the Virg and Lana and Clint and his kids and stayed the night there.  Spencer and I got the king size bed (I need one of those) and then there were 2 queen beds for the others.  So we put the kids (and Virg & Lana) to bed at 10:30 and then went to see Erik the Red play at the Bit & Spur.  It was such a fun night!

The next morning we got up went to breakfast and drove in through Zion's Canyon.  It was fun to spend the day with the fam!  Thanks for an amazing birthday everyone!!!

The Arm Wrestle...

It's strange... my Mom and Kim are freakishly strong and I am not.  There have been times through out my life when I have felt like I could take one of them down and of course I have always been wrong.  But I was really feeling it this day, so I challenged my Mom to an arm wrestle.  I must admit, it took awhile, but I did prevail!  Never-mind that she is 59, I am finally stronger than her.

I must confess...

Our neighbors rent out these big bouncy castles. Our back yards are too small for them so everyone puts them in their driveway.  I wouldn't ever let my kids get one because, yes, I do like to make fun of those people who have parties in their driveway. Sorry, but it's weird.
So... over the Thanksgiving weekend we wanted to do something really fun for the kids... I broke down... and we rented a bouncy.  I do think the adults who tried it out had just as much fun as the kids.
So on to my confession...
I want to do it again.

Amazing Weekend...

with amazing friends!  The Downey's came down to visit again.  It was so much fun.  The Wyatt's suggested a new restaurant, Rustler's Rooste.   The food wasn't amazing but it was really fun.  A magician came to our table and was actually really good.

There was a slide that went from the lobby down to the restaurant.  We all tried it, but Spence enjoyed it the most, he couldn't get enough of it. It went surprisingly fast.   You can't see the slide in this picture, but this is Spence at the end of the it.

We did way to much eating and shopping.
And then Kisten and I had to take our traditional lame pictures everywhere we went.  Thanks for coming down guys, you're the best!  (Now the rest of you need to come visit :)

It was a good night....

I am a Utah Man, sir, and I live across the green,
Our gang it is the jolliest that you have ever seen.
Our coeds are the fairest and each one's a shining star,
Our yell, you'll hear it ringing through the mountains near and far!
Who am I, sir,
A Utah Man am I!
A Utah Man, sir,
Will be 'til I die.
Ki-yi!
We're up to snuff, we never bluff, we're game for any fuss.
No other gang of college men dare meet us in a muss.
So fill your lungs and sing it out and shout it to the sky,
We'll fight for dear old crimson for a Utah Man am I!
Ki-yi!

The evening started off quite stressful attempting to find a gas station near Sandy's sister's house, quite difficult. We eventually found one and got our caffeine kick and we were ready for the "Holy War." The Utes started off with a nice drive capped by a field goal by King Louie. The Y's "special" teams came up with the best play of the night on their first possession, scoring some sweet field position, leading to their first points. That was the end of their night though, Max Hall, a.k.a. the Utes' MVP threw 5 interceptions and lost 1 fumble. As you can tell from the pics above our family was happy with the sweet taste of victory and the prospect of a trip to Miami or New Orleans in the cards for our second perfect season in 4 years. The BYU fans in attendance...they were a little upset with Spencer's gloating, obviously he didn't care, he was prepared with his winning attitude and fun loving personality. We'll see all of you Ute fans at our BCS bowl and here's wishing BYU another illustrious Vegas Bowl. Go Utes!!!
