The Nature Center

Talan's pre-school teacher and her husband took us down to the Nature Center. It is so pretty there. And it's only 5 minutes from our house. How we didn't find this place sooner... I do not know. We had a BBQ, the kids played on the play ground then we played by the river.

Ryan just walks up slides... no big deal.

The squirrels were hanging out with us.

Corey was nice and packed Maddy across the river so she wouldn't get wet.

When is gets warm we are going to go tubing down this thing. I'm excited.

Maddy Paddy turns 7!!

Our day started at 6:25 when Talan came running into our room saying "we need to make Maddy breakfast in bed"! We had already planned on doing it, we just didn't think we needed to start until 7:00 since she usually doesn't wake up until 8:00. But not today. Maddy was laying in bed waiting for her birthday to start!! She requested her Dad's specialty, Norwegian pancakes. We took a different route today and filled them with blueberries and whip cream! YUM!

Maddy waited by the door about 20 minutes before anybody was suppose to arrive! What a little beauty!

Okay... so I was really happy with my idea of putting the Littlest Pet Shop toys on top of each cupcake for the kids. They turned out so cute! It was hard giving some of them away. They were all SO CUTE!

Maddy had a list of games she wanted to play. Unfortunately we didn't get to them all. This one was the balloon pop.

Singing Happy Birthday

Poor little Ry Buddy was so tuckered out!

Her new pajamas that she got from her Dad!

Then we ended up with a sleep over in the family room. It's our little cuties favorite thing to do! (Yes, I have a frog tattoo on my arm.)

I anticipated a sad Maddy when she had to give away all the Littlest Pet Shop toys, so after her friends left I gave her a big pack of them. I love these things! Look at the St.Bernard second row from the back third from the left... and the little orange frog... and the chipmunk with the pink hat... so cute!

And the walrus... Okay I'll stop.

Oh wait... the 10 things we LOVE about Maddy...

1. She is such a clean girl. She will clean the whole room when she and Talan are suppose to do it together.

2. Her laugh is still so contagious!

3. She loves to give her mommy back and foot tickles.

4. She is always in her underwear, unless we have a guest.

5. She loves to read. She has been keeping a copy of Ivy & Bean underneath her seat in the car, and every time we go anywhere she pulls it out to read.

6. She loves to do her homework, and gets it done super fast. Such a smarty!

7. She loves to be silly.

8. She loves to cook.

9. She loves to do any kind of project, especially science projects.

10. And she is so good about putting off having something good to get something better later.

(That is worded weird, but it's one of Spencer's favorites!)

Lots of posts...

Here we go with another 4 months of posts. I would be here all day if I really posted everything, so I just picked some of my faves! We have been super busy. I started doing eyelash extensions. It has been really fun. I never thought I would do something like this, but I find it really relaxing.

Spencer got a job offer back in Phoenix at the Lewis Prison. He isn't really excited about working in a prison, but he has found a new love for forensics and the tuition reimbursement is incredible. So it looks like we will be making another move in the summer. The kids are super excited to be with their cousins again, and we are so happy to get away from the snow, and be back with some of our favorite people ever!

Maddy is starting soccer and Talan is starting tee ball. We are so excited to see Tal do this. He is AMAZING at tee ball. Those other kids better watch out!

Ryan Christian Beck

1.He LOVES his brother and sister

2. He loves to climb all over, wrestle, and do kung fu with everyone

3. If he's sad, just give him a ball and he is happy

4. Right now all he wants to do is watch baa (spiderman)

5. His favorite time of the day is when Daddy comes home

6. He loves every sport and is really good at all of them, really.

7.He loves animals and calls them all Lille (our cat)

8. He could spend all day outside, he's such a boy.

9. He loves candy, he'll hide in Maddy & Talan's room and eat theirs.

10. He loves to say "Hi" to everyone, he's so outgoing.

Happy Birthday RyRy...

We have a tradition of breakfast in bed on your birthday. We'll I was sooo tired and I figured Ryan is only two so I slept through it. He doesn't really understand yet, right!?!? I know that's horrible. So I made pancakes shaped like the number 2 after I woke up, I feel like I redeemed myself.

When we tell Ry to smile for the camera we always get this sweet face. I love it!

He picked out a Baa (spiderman) cake.

He got a basketball hoop. We have a bigger one that he always tries to play on, but can't quite make it. This is perfect for him. He is in heaven! Check out the slam dunk!

So..... the next day... as he and Talan are playing Spiderman on their beds, Ryan hit the corner of one of their sharp cornered crappy Ikea beds ( I knew it was going to happen one day... these beds are ridiculous) and cut a huge gash right over his eye. I was in the other room and Maddy came in screaming. I seriously thought someone was dead by the way she was screaming. So I put them in the car, go pick up Spence at work and head over to the ER. Then Maddy tells us she's going to pass out, so we tell her to lie down and drink some water. We look back a minute later and she is gone. We started yelling her name and no response. She woke up a second later totally shaky. It was so sad. She was a little dizzy for a while and then she felt better.

He was amazing for the numbing shot but when they wrapped him in the papoose he lost it! I was in the waiting room with the kids and we could hear him clear out there. It was the hardest thing ever to hear my baby screaming and I couldn't go hold him. He ended up with 2 stitches underneath and 4 on top. Poor little guy. Definitely an eventful Birthday weekend!

Magic Show

We went to the Children's Museum and they were having a magic show, so we decided to check it out. The magician asked for a volunteer and Maddy was picked! She did an awesome job.

He dressed her up in leopard attire, which was perfect cause that's Maddy's fave! Then he started the show.

And then she took her final bow. We have a little magician!

Our little Cheerleader

Maddy started cheerleading for the Calvary Church in January. Her friends from school were all doing it and her best friends mom was the coach. She had so much fun. They learned 3 half time routines and tons of cheers. Hopefully we can figure out how to download videos on here so you can all check her out.
